Lived in that house. Torn down during downtown redevelopment. Have a photo, but seeking more details. Believe it was a hotel for travelers, later converted to a storefront and machine shop, George T. Stoicheff Auto Parts, 36 South Dorcas Street, corner of Water Street. Mann Edge offices and factory across street; Franciscus Lumber Yard adjacent; also Steve Leoras Restaurant. Dorcas Buchanan, possibly first non-Indian woman in county, buried down the street in church cemetery, hence the name Dorcas Street. Pennsylvania Railroad tracks parallel to Water Street, terminal across street later used by New Holland of Belleville, to ship farm machinery by rail.
