I need to find an ID/Enrollment/Dawes number for a memeber of the Cherokee Nation Tribe. How can I get this information?

I need to enroll someone to become a memeber of the Cherokee Nation Tribe and in order to do this I need to find out what the ID/Enrollment/Dawes number is for a member in the family. I am having a difficult time finding out this information.

The member of the Cherokee Tribe was Luell Inez Southern. Born in 1905 in Missouri. This person is the blood line to become a member and I do not have her the number. How do I get this information?

Thank you in advance

Wiley Branch Bethel Cemetery – Where???

Where is Wiley Branch Bethel Cemetery, Marion County, AL located? I find Bethel Cemetery and Old Bethel Cemetery, but neither seems to have burials dating back into the late 1800s.

I’m looking for the burial location of Josiah Collier,Sr (1808-1897) and his wife, Rebecca Alcey (McClung) Collier (1825-1898).

Dead End – Suggs – Help!

For over 15 years certain members of my family and myself have been looking for information pertaining to my great grandfather, his early life and where he came from. This hasn’t been easy to come across. The farthest we have been able to go back was 1900 in Shelby County Alabama. We have put this off hoping to find something more ourselves, but I think it’s time to ask for assistance, or at least some advice on where to look to get an answer. Below you will find a link to our information.I hope someone here can be of some help, thank you

Barry Suggs

J.W. (Will) Suggs:
J.W. was known as Will, Willis but death records list him as J.W. No one in the family knows what the J. stands for. As the story goes he was from N.C. His parents apparently died when he was young, he and a brother (George?) and sister (name unknown) were raised by and aunt and uncle who owned a mill.

He worked for the railroad tha ran from Shelby Co. Al. to S.C. Possibly the A&O. He was also a stonemason. He met Matilda in S.C. and they got married in S.C. or Ga. and came to live in Shelby Co. around 1896. They are found on the 1900 census in Shelby Co. and in Morgan Co. on the 1910 census. No record can be found of J.W. prior to 1900.

In the 1930 census, the children are living with Hattie, but no sign of William or Mable/Anabel.

I cannot find him ANY where else. Can anyone offer help on where to go to find him? My family tree is dead here.

Thanks!

Trying to find a town in Connecticut in 1888

I am trying to find the name of the town for someone born in Connecticut. I did find his WWI Draft Registration on Ancestry.com. His name is Benjamin Albert Griswold, b. 16 Mar 1888. The name of the town looks like Hazevills, but I have not been able to find it. I have no idea about the county, either.
