I have found a name on the Halbert Rolls, Ganet Nelson. I am having trouble connecting him with accurate documentation, just family “stories”. He is said to have been married to Jennie Kavanaugh, and their daughter Cynthia is my ancestor. My question is, what does it mean if he is on the Halbert Rolls? and since I havent found documentation as how we are related, what is my next step? All I have is that his daughter was born in 1834 and died in 1863, and this is a census based. We think she married before marrying my ancestor, and to a man named Colinger. Just need someone to point me in the right direction. Thanks!
